Texin® is an aromatic polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). It bonds readily to provide a soft-touch feel. It has high elasticity, excellent low-temperature impact strength and flexibility over a wide temperature range. It is easy to color.

Thermoplastic polyurethanes allow for very thin gauges while maintaining strength and properties. They can withstand as much as four times the radiation that other plastics than withstand and have better burst strength.

Glossary Of Terms

aromatic

Organic chemical compounds in which the carbon atoms are linked in a ring structure; examples are benzene, toluene and napthene. Aromatic compounds have enhanced chemical stability and have higher unsaturation indices than aliphatic compounds.
